Elie Saab sticks to one aesthetics – fairy tale looks, ball dresses, elaborate embellishments, lacy appliques and feminine silhouettes and although repetition can be boring, I’m yet to be bored by Elie Saab.
The show opens up with off shouldered silk dresses with plunging necklines, a wrapped midsection that opens to reveal thigh high slits and a jeweled band. It then closes with a spectacular desert toned lacey dress with an elaborate skirt and long flowing veiled hair piece.
In between these strikingly different opening and closing looks, we saw mermaid dresses, embellishments, jeweled fabrics, and several looks that spake of Arabian royalty.
Take a look!
