It has been a year of celebrity weddings and Olakunbi Oyelese, Creative Director of fashion label, April By Kunbi is the newest addition to the married community as she tied the knot with fiancee(now husband), Lanre Tomori yesterday.

Since the release of her pre-wedding photos, we have been anticipating her looks from the engagement to the wedding and she did not disappoint us in that regard.

Her engagement outfits were a bunch of colourful options; from the yellow number to the A-line silver dress with bell sleeves then to the off-shoulder teal & lavender dress which was my favourite, she proved she was the perfect model for her custom-made designs.

Engagement Look 1

This first look was an all yellow Iro and Buba ensemble completed with yellow Manolo Blahnik court shoes and a yellow head gear to match. I feel the colour compliments her skin tone and her simple face beat with the bright red lip and coral beads thus making the entire look together with a gorgeous finish.

Engagement Look 2

This was my favourite of the engagement looks. This of- shoulder dress in teal and lavender with floral embroidery was perfect for Kunbi’s body as it flattered her curves in all the right places. The head gear with jeweled white stones was beautifully complementary. Although she swapped the red lipstick for a dark purple one, she still retained a clean makeup look.

The silver dress with navy blue head gear was another stylish number. The A-line and assymetrical bell sleeves were a different look compared to the first and second dresses. She chose the red lips again and looked absolutely gorgeous in the dress.

The Wedding Dress

Her white wedding however, did get a lot of people talking. Kunbi  was clad in a custom made April By Kunbi dress;  a vintage, whimsical ball dress with her long train and tiara. The entire look was reminiscent of the Victorian era and made her look regal.

While some bridesmaids were clad in peach asymmetrical v-neck dresses that were cinched at the waist with an elaborately jeweled brooch, others donned mustard coloured dresses with nearly the same details as the peach.

Certainly one of our best celebrity wedding so far!
