During my summer movements last year, I attended a wedding in Houston and wrote about my look here, so I was pretty surprised and excited at the coincidence when I realised I’d have to do the same this year for a friend’s wedding.
As a wedding guest, the first thing that pops up in your mind is your look (or maybe a gift for the couple if you’re a well behaved human) and being that last year was basically repeating itself, I decided not to rock the boat and get a dress made by the same designer! This time however, I got the most gorgeous fabric in red with cream lace detailing and decided to let that guide the direction of the look.
In my opinion, Houston for the most part looks and feels like Lagos, but the major difference would be all the empty/unoccupied land space and the greenery! There’s so many gorgeous parks and picture perfect locations, which is why I made a quick detour to one of such to get some shots in before making it to the wedding.
Accessories were a simple pair of pumps and clutch, both in nude, and I switched up my hair to long tresses in a beautiful ombre shade which I pulled back in a low ponytail; not trying to shift attention away from that gorg neckline if you know what I mean!
I loved that everything came together rather nicely with the dress fusing so seamlessly with the beautiful location. That being said, even Another Houston Style Story next summer? We’ll all have to wait to find out!
