On Sunday 14th June 2015, multidisciplinary artist Mode Aderinokun officially launched her Studio of Modé gallery & store, welcoming art lovers and well wishers to the purpose led space.
I was privileged to tour the space before it opened and was impressed by the attention to detail, the atmosphere created with colour and texture and how her work was presented.
The design choices made reflect her Yoruba root and the inspiration drawn from there which is also apparent in her photography, paintings and signature sketches. The artist dedicates the space to her late father, Mr. Olutayo Aderinokun, who was a patron of the arts, writer and an art enthusiast.
At the launch, guests were welcomed with champagne and enjoyed discovering the space and were able to purchase artwork and her art adorned accessories including tote bags, greeting cards, t-shirts, iPad and laptop skins as well as mobile phone accessories on-site in the Studio of Mode store.
