7 Places To Meet People While Traveling That Isn’t A Bar Or A Night Club

If you’re single and you like to travel alone, that doesn’t mean you have to spend your nights alone if you don’t want to. Surely, you can try online black dating web-sites, like Flirt.com. Or maybe you want to meet some local black singles to show you around and see what the night life is like.

With that said, you may not want to go to a bar or night club to do it. Here are 10 places to meet local singles that aren’t a bar or night club.

Clothing Stores

Studies have shown that men are less likely to purchase clothes online, so if you’re interested in meeting a stylish fella while on vacation, hit up a men’s clothing store. The premise for going there? Say you’re shopping for a gift for you dad who “just happens” to be the same size as that hunk you’ve been eyeballing by the ties.

Interstate Trains

Let’s say you’re planning a trip to another state and you want to take a train ride. This is your chance to find someone you’re attracted to and strike up a conversation with them because depending on where you’re going, you’ll have plenty of time to chat and exchange contact information.

The Gym

Just because you’re traveling doesn’t mean you should skip out on your workout routine — specifically your weight training. When you venture into the weight room (or even the area where the weight machines are), you can ask someone you’re interested in to spot you. This can work for men and women, although if you’re a guy trying it on a lady, she may look at you funny.

At an Electronic Store

Whether you’re at the Apple Store, Best Buy, or a cell phone provider, you can almost always find someone looking at the latest tech. While you’re browsing and you notice someone cute is looking at a piece of tech you have or have considered purchasing, approach them, share your opinion/experience and wow them with your knowledge of the product.

Festivals and Community Events

Depending on where and when you go, there may be a festival or an event going on. When you attend one of these events, not only are you getting a taste of the culture of the area (this is big if you’re traveling abroad), but you can also meet some interesting people. It isn’t uncommon to meet people at these events during the day and share a few drinks or whatever else you can think of.

An Educational Event

Whether you’re attending a class on how to cook local food, how to dance, or going on a historical tour of the area, these are all great opportunities to meet black singles, be they local or fellow travelers like yourself.

Just because you’re traveling, that doesn’t mean you can’t volunteer your time. Heck, some people go on vacation to places just to volunteer their time and give back! Volunteering your time is a fantastic way to meet someone incredible and still do something that you’ll feel good about at the end of the day. Just think about it, meeting someone while volunteering is the ultimate good first impression!

Traveling alone doesn’t necessarily mean that you will have to spend the evening alone because there are going to be singles everywhere you go. While some people will tell you to hit up the local bar or night club scene, sometimes you just can’t be bothered with the nonsense. However, when you try any of these seven options, you have a better chance of meeting someone cool and interesting — even if you’re only going to be around for a short time.
