THE LADY MAKER
Her new collection titled indigo safari stayed true to its name.
In the words of the assistant designer. It was inspired by nature for people.
It was a beautiful rendition of adire which is its trademark. This collection was luxury at it’s finest. I imagine that women like late Funmilayo Ransome-kuti would have embodied the essence of this collection.
It reminds me of stories told by my grandmother under the cocoa tree. It is for women who want to and know how to own the room. If that is you,RUN do not walk towards The Lady Maker.
RENDOLL
She had me clutching my pearls and my credit card because I was ready to give it all away for all the pieces in this collection.
It portrayed femininity in the most beautiful way. Free flowing pieces that hugged the body in all the right places, using an all time favourite miyake material. We also got Prints that look like Van Gogh put his paintbrush on them with sequins to make you shine at that new year’s eve party or even your wedding after party.
ABIGAIL AJOBI
Don’t you dare forget that name. This brand is definitely one to look out for. It’s SS24 shows that streetwear is more than the usual denim or ripped denim. It is a funky, colourful mix. A beautiful bridge between Alte and style using denim, leather and tie-dye prints. If you are tired of basic, wear Abigail Ajobi.
