For Fall/Winter Ralph Lauren is Sending Carribean Beach Vibes your Way

For his latest Fall/Winter Showcase, eponymous designer Ralph Lauren is in relation mode, as his collection was all about the Carribeans, this is no surprise as it was reported he took a Jamaican retreat very recently.

According to Vogue, Lauren set the mood for his latest see-now-buy-now collection with a mise-en-scène that appeared to be transported straight from his luxurious Caribbean retreat. The reflection of rippling blue waters could be seen in the white blinds and cabana furniture at the end of the runway.

Our Very own Mayowa Nicholas opened the show, totally Barefoot and relaxed in a white and blue print strapless beach dress, can it get more chill than that? The models each emerged in sun-bleached batik and woodblock-print summer dresses with woven tourist baskets and canvas totes swinging at their side.

This is quite off the radar for the usual Ralph Lauren Style, with his perfectly cut chic evening dresses and black tie gowns, but notwithstanding his usual clients would feel the need to pack some of these when embarking on a luxe holiday get away to a place with lots of private beaches.

Though Ralph was in holiday mode and all about relaxation, he did remember to add a few choice evening gowns in yellow and blue. The sweeping primary-color evening gowns took inspiration from yacht sails and lent a dose of sporting style to a red carpet wardrobe.
