Up and coming menswear label JZO whose contemporary pieces have been seen on the likes of celebrities Ik Osakioduwa, D’banj and Uti Nwachukwu, present a ne w collection Tokunbo for the 2017 rainy season.
Using largely locally source material including aso oke and adire which have featured in previous collection, the brand’s aesthetic is elegantly simple with an clear African influence, with an eye to creating clothing “made for the modern Nigerian man”
The new JZO collection named Tokunbo, which translates from the Yoruba language to mean ‘from across the seas’, also draws on Asian military styling apparent in the fastenings, Mao collars and robe like tunics. The palette is mostly muted but for a rich blue that is sure to be a favourite with the bolder man.
