Fashion week is in full swing and the train kicked of at New York some few days ago. Our dear own Nigerian womenswear brand, Maki Oh, showcased her Autumn/Winter collection yesterday.
For Fall, Maki Oh went edgy with her pieces. It strays away from her usual aesthetics and although we can see one or two pieces that come in her signature silk batik prints, majority of the pieces take on a more risque and fashion forward approach that borders on eccentric and wild.
Faux leather pants, mesh skirts, wool trench coats, metallic co-ords and fur trimmings, are some of the offerings this collection.
Do we like it? No. The whole theme feels a little rushed and all over the place with the motorcycle prop being the only constant we can place in the entire collection.
Take a look.
