My name is Eni ILori and I am a fashion blogger and illustrator. I would say that my style is Parisian/cool classic with a twist. To me, fashion is a way to express my style; and to some extent, I would say that that personality can be showcased through style. My blog, www.eniswardrobe.com, is about documenting my day to day style as well as showing my illustrations.
I recently started a short course at the London College of Style, and I have been learning a lot about the history of fashion, particularly about women and how much style has progressed over the years. This week is all about the fashion in the 1930’s. During this period, women loved to wear fitted clothing that showed off their figure and also clothing that had exaggerated sleeves, shoulders and collars. I decided that I would base my look today on the 1930’s but with a contemporary twist.
When it came to choosing the outfit, I found a jumpsuit in Zara that I thought was perfect for the occasion. What drew me to the jumpsuit was that it was fitted at the top and flared at the bottom and most importantly it was stripy. Stripes are a big trend especially as summer is coming up. Women in the 1930’s loved wide-leg pants and the jumpsuit I chose from Zara had this element.
