Woven Blends – Black & White

Black and white are two colours that everyone should have in their wardrobe. Although I am typically one for a burst of colours, I do occasionally indulge in a black and white look.

Today I am sharing this statement bow crop top from Boohoo, paired with my $5 skirt. Yes, you can look good for less and do not always have to splurge.

Statement pieces are always super tricky when it comes to styling because you do not want to go over the top, doing too much. Sometimes, you nail it and too often, you do not. So I try to keep styling simple when wearing a statement piece.

Although my skirt is pleated, I tried to keep this look simple so that people could focus on the beauty that is my top.

This look is super cute for a playdate with your girls – lunch, movies etc. The first time I wore this outfit, I styled it with heels and it looked super cute too, so I can definitely see you dressing this up with some cute heels – black or white or even coloured.

I decided to wear flats this time because I wanted to be comfortable and still fun. Sometimes when considering outfits, comfort takes priority.

These flats are super fun and comfortable. Plus, they are also trendy. If you are a fashion guru, you have probably seen a number of people style similar mule flats. There are different variations of these. The truth is, I am really not a fan of the trend but these white ones stood out to me. I doubt I will be investing in another pair other than these.

Now over to you, would you wear this outfit and where to? What would you do differently?
